This experience was a big step up. In the past, I focused on pricing when looking for local service providers online. I wanted to ‘save money’.

That was a big mistake I have regretted. I ended up with unqualified providers rushing do work (or milking the clock) with machines that were inadequate to the task.

Often they would try to do less than promised or find ways to charge more for work that I thought was included. There were times I was genuinely about who I let on my property.... seriously!

Loved working with this amazing husband and wife team! I had contacted a few companies and they were the only ones to contact me back! They schedules a time for us to meet at our property to walk through and explain our vision to them. They met us at our property and walked with us to explain what we were wanting and then just spent time chitchatting with them like we were old friends. Our story

Why we're called Deep Roots

Deep roots are what keep a tree standing through storms. We wanted to build a business the same way: rooted in family, service, and faith.

We’re Logan and Jacquelyn Solano, and we bought 28 acres of land with a vision: to build a homestead where we could raise our kids and grow our own food. But first, we had to clear the land.

That’s when we realized how many other landowners shared the same dream but couldn’t fully use their property because it was overgrown. That’s what inspired us to start Deep Roots Land Services.

We both bring the discipline, dedication, and commitment to service that comes from our military background, along with a genuine passion for helping the people we work with.

Together, as a family, we’re building something rooted in hard work, integrity, faith, and taking care of people.

What does forestry mulching cost?

Most projects start at a $2,500 minimum. That covers smaller, lighter jobs; larger or heavier work is quoted individually. Final pricing depends on acreage, density, access, terrain, travel and overall scope.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Raeford and work within about 120 miles, including Fayetteville, Hoke County and Cumberland County.

What's the difference between mulching and clearing?

Traditional clearing means bulldozers, burn piles and hauling trucks. Mulching grinds everything in place, with no stumps to dig out and no debris to haul, and leaves a mulch layer that protects your soil.

Are you insured?

Yes. Deep Roots Land Services is fully insured, so your property is protected.

Do you take small jobs?

We focus on properties with one acre or more. If you're not sure whether your project fits, call or text and we'll tell you honestly.

How long does a job take?

It depends on the size and density of your land, but most jobs take a couple of days. You'll get a timeline with your quote.
